DJ Kashi

Kashi is a 25yr old dj/producer from West Wales, now living in Cardiff.
Originating from West Wales, Kashi was heavily influenced by the local party scene. Regularly playing at free parties in and around West Wales, he developed a love for hard house, which eventually led him to hardstyle. Following his passion for harder dance music, he then went on to study music tech in Reading then Bath and has now been producing for five years.

Over the years Kashi has been lucky enough to have played on the same line up as some of the biggest names in hardstyle and hard dance after holding residencies for Armageddon in Cardiff, No Exit in Aberystwyth and Devils Heaven in Carmarthen. DJ’s like Mark EG, The Trance Generators, Cally & Juice, Dj Isaac, Phil York, Gaz West, Ilogik, Alex Kidd, Brian M vs Mcbunn and Kutski….the list goes on. Artists like these, to name just a few, have influenced him as a Dj a great deal, and continue to influence him now in his own productions.

Currently collaborating with Mr Swankie Dj, after having finished their first collaboration, the Italian influenced 'Mouve Solo', which can be heard on Cally and Juice's recent 'West Fest' set - now in shops nationwide. Hoping for a release date in 2007. Also currently working on an eagerly awaited remix of one of the all time classic hardstyle tracks “Hardcore Suckas” (FutureSound 039),go to www.myspace.com/djkashi for an audio clip. Kashi & Swankie have also had their music played by none other than the Trance Generators in Finland and around Italy, and have been receiving excellent feedback from them. Cally and Juice were generous enough to play Mouve Solo to the packed out Bionic tent in Westfest 2006.
Kashi and Swankie are also gaining support form the internationally known Brian M vs Mcbunn, who are signed to arguably the worlds biggest hardstyle label ‘Blutonium Records’. To cap it all off hard house legend Vinylgroover played Kashi's mix of Represent in several of the UK's leading hard dance nights and also on his tour of Chicago last year. Kashi, along with studio partner Swankie, aim to write hardstyle that is seen as energetic, aggressive and original, which includes all the musical elements that have influenced them over the years.

You can currently catch Kashi and Swankie DJ spreading their distinctive style in the hard dance scene in and around Wales. Watch this space…. 2007/2008 is going to be an exciting time for these two welsh hardstylers.
