DJ Drago - The Hardstyle Headcase

David Blackhall aka DRAGO is one of west Wales aspiring Dj's, with his own style of mixing, his passion HARDSTYLE, he's loud, hard and gets the dance floors bouncing where ever he plays.
Drago started mixing in 1989 at the age of 12, much to the influence of his big brother Paul. At the age of 16 Drago was playing at countless parties in the middle of nowhere spinning happy hardcore, Rotterdam techno and jungle up in the West Wales mountains.
Then at the age of 17 he was given the opportunity to play at an event named OXYGEN at a club called Porky's in Aberystwyth.
Drago secured a residency and played alongside: DJ SY, UNKNOWN, SHARKY, CLARKEE, HIXXY, DOUGAL, MARK EG and many more!

An accident in 1998 meant Drago had to stop Dj’ing after loosing the use of his right hand.
It took 3 years to regain the full use in his right hand and then once again started to spin the Technics.
Also deciding it was time for a change of style and after taking 2 years. He found a style that made his hair stand on edge and sent shivers down his spine.
! HARDSTYLE ! Was it!

Since that day, dance floors all around west Wales and even as far as Cavos in Greece have bounced to Drago's pounding sounds.
Playing for such nights as VOODOO, BAZOOKA, BREATHE, TRANSMISSION, BIONIC, OXYGEN, REVOLUTION, JOURNEY, SENSATION, INNER RHYTHM, TWISTED BEATZ, HARD TIMES TOUR, DEVIL'S HEAVEN, GRAND FEST AUDIO, NO EXIT, EVOLUTION.

Drago has recently teamed up with fellow Hardstyle Dj ROB THE RED, these 2 together is a real show. With their twisted beatz, countless tricks, scratches and pounding sounds. They really are quality entertainment and a must see!

Drago is also the owner and promoter of TWISTED BEATZ, which he runs with his girlfriend Sallie.
Twisted Beatz has been running for 2 years, taking the event to the WATERFRONT in H/west (now closed unfortunately), MATISSE in H/west, JAMMO'S in Tenby and most recently to THE IMPERIAL FUNCTION CENTRE in Milford haven, which in the last couple of months built up a loyal following. TWISTED BEATZ has also built up a good team of resident Dj’s and mc's, all with different styles of music from House right through to Hardcore and Drum and Bass.
Drago is currently working on producing his own style of Hardstyle.
